DEL DOPO GIOVENTÙ
Frammenti di polvere,
nello sguardo,
nel respiro,
respiro.
Albicocca selvatica,
caduta dal ramo,
spiaccico la zolla,
spiaccicato.
Dov’era il pertugio,
del viscido verme,
rifugio,
rifuggo.
Non è così che mescoli i fronzoli.
Non è così che accogli i tuoi figli.
Affiora a capo la sciocca
mansuetudine.

Bruno Mancini dal libro “Non rubate la mia vita” edizione Lulu

AFTER YOUTH
Fragments of dust,
in the look,
in the breath,
breathe.
Wild apricot,
fallen from the branch,
flatten the turf,
crushed.
Where there was a hole,
of the slippery worm,
refuge,
avoid.
It’s not this that stirs the trappings.
It’s not this that welcomes your children.
It appears at the crest the foolh
umility.

NON RUBATE  LA MIA VITA

Un sorriso di mare smeraldo
un profumo di ortensia maculata
lo scampanare di turisti pascolanti
lo sciacquio di graniti biancastri,
TEMPO,
la sposa non mi chiede altro
i miei ingorghi pazienteranno ancora
tra un’onda senza fine al tramonto
nel poggio di agrumi e di ninfee
Non rubate la mia vita,
prendete i sogni.

Bruno Mancini (Dal libro “Non rubate la mia vita” ed Lulu)

DON’T STEAL MY LIFE

The smile of an emerald sea
a scent of speckled hydrangea
the swell of grazing tourists
the splash on whitewashed granite,
TIME,
my wife asks nothing more
my inner quarrels remain serene
on an endless wave to sunset
where citrus and water lilies convene.
Don’t steal my life,
take my dreams.

DAVANTI AL TEMPO

Svanire
in dolcezza di forma,
sospesa apparenza,
nel gorgo di volute fughe
è l’ultimo ponte.

E tutto si genera nuovo
sparso tra fossili addii.

Poi l’ombra assorbe.
“Ora che odi
lo schiudersi del labbro
stimoli palpiti inganni.”

Acuminata nullità
passione senza pensiero.

CONFRONTING TIME

To vanish in sweetness of form,
suspended appearance
in the whirlpool of intentional escapes
is the final bridge.

And everything generates anew
scattered among fossilized farewells.

Then the shadows engulf.
“Now hatreds
part lips with
pricks throbs deceits.”

Pointed nothingness
passion without thought.

UN TAGLIO

Un taglio alla fune del timone
sobbalza come la trottola sulle molliche di pane.
Sfugge corda indefinita.
Movenza soffice d’ora di sole.
è vortice di fantasia di specchi. .
Se invece sei colpevole
e mentisti
se sei colpevole
e fuggi
e verso luci te ne fuggi
ossessive,
se sei colpevole
e premi
respiri e sangue
t’annulli avvilendoti,
tu mi rincontrerai,
acerbi altari a lustrare
indifferenti vuoti a credere
parole a piangere
sfide a creare
curvi colori oscuri e matti a muovere
in malinconie
tossiche
più di un fumo giallo e denso.

Ed io ti parlerò
di cani e di animali
delle mie pallide albe di sconfitte
di ore mai vissuto
di stelle. .
Ed io ti creerò bellezze
e ti richiamerò ricordi
e la mia mente
lenti accordi espia.

A SPLIT

A split at the helm’s rope
pops like the crust on bread.
The boat escapes the eternal cord
and is set gently adrift on a sunlit day
into a fantasy whirl of prismatic mirrors.
If instead you’re guilty
and lied
if you’re guilty
and flee
and toward the light you escape
obsessed,
if you’re guilty
and squash
breath and blood
cease humiliating yourself,
you’ll see me again,
undeveloped altars to glaze
frivolous indifferences to create
words to cry
challenges to conceive
warped colors dark and wild to move
downhearted
toxic
more so than a yellow and dense fog.

And I’ll speak to you
of dogs and animals
of my pale defeated dawns
of hours never lived
of stars.
And I’ll create splendors for you
and I’ll evoke memories
as my compassion
repents slowness to concede harmony.

LE OMBRE, PER VIVERE

1

Le luci della festa
lelu cide lla fe sta
nessuno vuole questo.

Due isole
due is ole
è un gioco stupido.

Tu e Capri
tue ca pri
esperienze estreme.

Sconosciute
scono sciu te
due ombre ingarbugliate.

°———°———°———

2

L’entrata alla valle
dei sogni.

Il vezzo adulto di
ricordare.

L’allegra sinfonia
priva di note.

Il boa era anche
un guanciale.

Sapessi quante rondini
non tornano.

Squarciava il mare
un elicottero.

Nemmeno un giorno
ti ho pensata.

Io mostro il primo
livido.

Quando sarà l’11 settembre
non venite a dormire nel mio letto.
Sorpresi Giulia che volava
a braccia aperte
a gambe aperte
a bocca aperta
e se gridava gridava fumo
e se piangeva
e se pregava
e se pensava
e se moriva mancava poco.

THE SHADOWS, LIVE ON

1

The party lights
thepa rtyli gh ts
no one wants
Two islands
two isl ands
it’s a foolish game
You and Capri
youand ca pri
extreme encounters
Strangers
stra ng er s
Two bewildered shadows.

2

The entrance to the valley
of dreams
the mature habit
to remember
spirited symphony
deprived of notes
the buoy was also
a pillow
it knew how many swallows
don’t return
a helicopter sliced open
the sea
not even one day
did I think of you.
I reveal the first
bruise.

3

When September 11th arrive
don’t come to sleep in my bed.
I surprised Giulia, who flew
with arms open
legs apart
mouth agape
and if she was screaming, she screamed smoke
and if she was crying
and if she was praying
and if she was thinking
And if she was dying little was lost.
